macOS Mojave is the fifteenth major release of macOS, the operating system for Mac computers. It was released on September 24, 2018, and introduced new features such as Dark Mode, Stacks, Dynamic Desktop, and more. On December 5, 2018, Apple released the second update for macOS Mojave, version 10.14.2 (18C54), which improved the stability, compatibility and security of the system.

What's new in macOS Mojave 10.14.2?




According to Apple's official release notes , the macOS Mojave 10.14.2 update added or fixed the following features and issues:



  • Adds RTT (real-time text) support for Wi-Fi calling



  • Adds a menu item to News for opening a story in Safari



  • Resolves an issue that may prevent iTunes from playing media to third-party AirPlay speakers



  • Addresses an issue that may prevent Mail users from receiving new messages from certain providers



  • Improves compatibility of Braille displays with Mail



  • Fixes an issue where VoiceOver utility would re-order desktop spaces and full-screen apps in unexpected ways



  • Fixes an issue where the "Open With" menu was incorrectly ordered and contained duplicates



  • Fixes an issue that could cause an incorrect cursor position when deleting emoji with the delete key



  • Fixes an issue where the mouse cursor may disappear when hovering over certain UI elements in some apps



  • Fixes a stability issue when using the built-in camera on some Mac mini models




How to download and install macOS Mojave 10.14.2?




The macOS Mojave 10.14.2 update is available for free from the Mac App Store for all compatible Macs running macOS Mojave 10.14 or later. To download and install the update, follow these steps:



  • Open the App Store app on your Mac.
