First friends Ladybird room cares for babies to around 2 and a half years of age, in a calm, caring and home-from-home environment.

Babies (Ladybirds)

Based at our Nursery, our Ladybirds group are for 3 - 30 months (2.5 years)

First Friends Butterflies room, pre-school

Tweenies/Pre-School (Butterflies)

Based at our Nursery, our Butterflies group is for 30 - 60 months (5 years)

First Friend Out of School club providing wrap-around childcare and holiday club for children 3years to 14 years of age in chaddesden derby.

Out of School

We offer Breakfast Clubs, After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs based with our local Schools.

Full day care also operates for some school closers, like teacher-training days and strikes.

Our Approach

First Friends is a small nursery which holds no more than 36 children at any one time. All staff and children have close relationships; staff always promote partnerships with parents/carers to encourage children’s learning, development and ensure children feel safe and secure.
